But I wouldn't get either unless acoustic drums are your and I went with Superior Drummer. SD3 has some electric stuff in there to layer with. Maybe not modern enough if you're doing today's sound. Some good percussion in there as well.Įxcept for Battery, Polyplex and a bit of DrumLab, these are mostly acoustic sounds. Plus all the other instruments in whatever bundle you get. Abbey Roads, Studio Drummer, DrumLab, Battery, even Polyplex. The orchestral library as mentioned is sounding superb IMO as well as new libraries like Decades, Rock Foundry. The NI stuff provides great value as well (bundle on sale). Im a beta tester for Toontrack and compared the sound of the S3 samples/libraries to S2 when it first arrived in beta and it really sounds so much better in comparison let alone that the feature set is much richer as well. IMO, AD2 is the perfect balance great sound, great price (on sale), simple and flexible. You will not get the same kind of response from Superior Drummer as the TD-11 own sounds, without a good audio interface. SD3 is richer in features, but could be overkill depending on your needs.
